Garden design does not have to be either complicated or expensive.

The main factors in any garden project, from planning a new border to a complete new garden are the asthetics and the cost. By having plans, you are immediately in control of both these elements. A plan not only determines exactly what your garden will look like but gives a fixed constant for contactors to quote to build.

	find out how the design process works... The first stage is to survey the garden & produce a scale drawing of the plot showing all relevant architecture & retained features. If required this will also take into account any changes in levels.
	We can then take the plans to a 'concept design'. This will show all the proposed new features, lawn, paving, planting, trees etc, but without adding large amounts of detail (construction etc). This is the point where the real structure & layout of the garden & proportions and essential requirements are decided. A completed concept design is the minimum requirement to actually start getting estimates or even to start construction.
	As with all good design communication between designer & client is the key to a great end result. Once the concept design is complete this is the point to add more detail as required. This could include planting plans and construction details/methods.
Costs are as unique as the gardens I design so I can give estimates once your needs are determined. Fees incured for design will save in the long run.
