Notice the simplicity of the design, using strong lines & soft planting that make full use of both foliage & flowers and the sense that the features are in scale & in keeping with their surroundings.

a new terrace.....

Here is a an example of how a well designed & proportioned terrace can link the house & garden, making the architecture feel far more a part of the garden. The old terrace did not reflect the scale of either the house or garden or give enough practical space to enjoy.
